2025 Employee Beneifts Guide
Russell County Hospital recognizes the important role employee benefits play as a critical component of your overall compensation. We strive to maintain a benefits program that is competitive within our industry and designed to protect your health, your family and your way of life. This summary highlights the benefit options offered for January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025.
Eligibility
Employees working at least 24 hours per week are eligible to elect medical, dental, and vision coverage for themselves and legal spouse and dependent children under the age of 26 (coverage terminates at the end of the month of the dependents 26th birthday). All additional benefits require employees to work 32+ hours a week. Benefits begin on your date of hire.Please Note: Your benefits will be terminated after exhausting 12 weeks of FMLA until returning to work.
Any elections made will remain in effect and cannot be changed or revoked until the next annual Open Enrollment period, unless the change is due to qualifying life event. If you experience a qualifying life event, you must notify your Human Resources department within 30 days from the status change.
Medical Benefits

Health Savings Account
If you elect the HDHP/HSA Plan, you may be eligible to contribute money into a Health Savings Account (HSA). This is a personal bank account designed toallow you to save pre-tax dollars for current and future medical expenses. Money in this account is always yours and unused funds roll over year after year providing savings for future medical expenses.Even though there is no limit to the amount of money you can accumulate in your account, there are annual contribution limits set each year by the IRS. The contribution limits are based on who you are covering under your medical plan. The contribution limits for January Ist - December 31st are as follows and are subject to change, per IRS regulations.

Flexible Savings Account
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Flexible Spending Accounts offer you the opportunity to payroll deduct some of your income on a pre-tax basis to pay for certain healthcare expenses that may not be covered as part of your benefit plans. In addition to the pre-tax savings benefit, your total election amount will be available at the beginning of the plan year! You will pay back the program with future payroll deductions.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)
With a Dependent Care FSA, you use pre-tax dollars to pay qualified out of pocket dependent care expenses. The Dependent Care FSA account works on a use it or lose it basis, meaning funds put into the account need to be spent within the same plan year.

Dental Benefits
If you choose a non-participating dentist, you will be responsible— for any charges above Paramount's negotiated fee. You may also be required to pay in full at the time of service and submit a claim form to Paramount for reimbursement.

Life Benefits
Group Life and AD&D InsuranceRussell County Hospital provides Basic Life and AD&D. This benefit is provided to full-time employees at no cost.
Class 1 - Directors &CEO regularly working_a min. of 30 hours per week.
2x annual salary to a maximum of $450,000.
Class 2 - Full Time employees with 5 years oftenure.
1.5x annual salary to a maximum of $200,000.
Class 3 - Full Time employees with less than 5 years oftenure.
1x annual salary to a maximum of $125,000.
Voluntary Term Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance
In addition to the provided life insurance, you may also purchase additional life insurance coverage through Reliance Matrix for yourself, your spouse, and your dependent children.
Guarantee Issue will be offered to all eligible employees at this open enrollment only.

Long Term Disability
Employees have the option to purchase voluntary long-term disability (VLTD) income benefits. Without coverage, you and your family may struggle to get by if you miss work due to an injury or illness.Please Note: The benefit maximum has increased from $3,000 to $10,000 this year.
